Common Questions About Our Franchise

What is the total investment required?

Investment depends on the tier. The HJ Bosch Speedshop entry tier (cosmetic and light-collision only) starts from approximately R1.5 million (ex VAT) day-1 with equipment finance from ~R21,120 per month — or R2.5 million outright. Equipment finance is subject to quotation and independent lender approval. Speedshop premises standard: ~400 m² under roof (300 m² minimum), 4.2 m+ clear height, 200–300 m² secure yard, 3-phase power, reinforced slab, SANS-compliant booth extraction, light-industrial zoning. The full Structural workshop starts from approximately R7.2 million (ex VAT). All figures cover workshop premises, equipment, initial stock, signage, systems setup and working capital. A detailed financial breakdown is provided in the Franchise Disclosure Document during the qualification process.

Do I need panel beating experience?

While industry experience is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. We look for strong business acumen, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality. Our comprehensive training programme covers workshop management, insurance processes, quality control, and customer service. Technical operations are managed by trained technicians.

How long does the franchise process take?

From initial enquiry to workshop opening, the process typically takes 6-12 months. This includes qualification assessment, financial due diligence, site identification, workshop build-out, equipment installation, staff recruitment, and training. The timeline depends on factors like property availability and municipal approvals.

What ongoing support is provided?

Franchisees receive continuous support including marketing campaigns, lead generation, operational systems, technical training updates, insurer relationship management, and regular performance reviews. Our head office team is available for day-to-day operational guidance.

Which territories are available?

We have territories available across South Africa including major metros and regional centres. Visit our territories page for the current list of available locations.
